My top four

I received a question from Claire about who would win the Premier League and who would finish in the top four. I think it's too early to start picking winners but Chelsea do look unbeatable and if they keep their form I might start tipping them to win the league. As for the top four I reckon the three regulars will cover the top three. The last place will be contested by Tottenham, Man City and Liverpool. It will be tight and may come down to goal difference but it's too early for me to call it now.

  1. Harry will be thrilled you are tipping Chelsea. Alex will be furious!
Harry is off to see Chelsea play tomorrow with his granddad, so he could feedback on the action if you like. Regents Park under 11s pulled back from 2-0 down at half time, to a 3 -2 win. A real humdinger (is that how you spell it??!!) Abraham scored the third goal. love Becky xx

  4. I notice that Everton isn't in your top 4, Sonny. I can't imagine why! What do we need to do to get out of the bottom 2, and why are we even there in the first place? A draw against Man Utd I'll take, but losing to Newcastle!!! I'm not a happy man today I can tell you. Oh well, at least my home team - Plymouth - managed a win.

  5. Sonny, I hear you were lucky to get a point at Sunderland yesterday!? Do you think Blackpool will and their country bumpkin manager will cause a surprise at Chelsea this afternoon? And will Arsene complain about John Terry's tackling when you come to the Bridge in a couple of weeks? Hope you feel a bit better today, even though that Darren Benthead won't have helped! Neil

  6. I'm with you there - Chelsea (as much as I'm not a fan) are just a joy to watch at the moment, and looked on Sunday like they took pity on Blackpool in the second half.

They look very, very strong. But, and watch this space, so do the might Watford. Historically, we all know this will change and by the end of the season we will be scraping to stay in the Championship, but it was lovely to see a strong win at last.

Not sure on Liverpool though - I think they're going to have a bit of a nothing season while Hodgson beds in - he's good, but I think there are too many variables in that one for this season, but it should be interesting.

My shout for a wild card? Spurs. Agree with you on that one. Man City looked poor yesterday, but still came away with the points, so could be interesting - let's see how poor my prediction for the final place is as the year progresses.

Oh, and how about a prediction for the F1 title - I know it's not on-brief here, but would be interested to see your top three there too - a tough one to call, especially with the remainder of the season allegedly suiting Red Bull. Can't wait myself, should be a great end to the season.
